Spring Break

Me again. la la la.

So, Monday was a very productive day. I ran a buttload of errands and got tons of things done. Yesterday Evan and I went out to lunch with Imee. Olive Garden soup and salad (and breadsticks. and more breadsticks.) mm mm mm. We also ran through Old Navy for a bit. I wanted Becky clothes but ended up with all Evan stuff. Got him 2 pairs of shoes and an outfit that says "I run on natural gas" which is funny because Alex works in natural gas. Oh, and both of my boys create plenty of their own natural gas, too.

Today I took Evan to daycare so that I could clean house. I wasted 3 whole hours on the master bath! I touched up nicked paint, and installed cabinet locks. The first one took me forevah because I'm a retard and couldn't figure out how to do it right. But after that one the other 4 were relatively quick. My cleaning day was cut short at 2:00 when the daycare called because Evan was running a fever. Poor little guy. He's not congested or anything else, so it is one of those mystery fevers. I gave him motrin, and after a very fussy hour he cheered up to normal for the rest of the afternoon. He started getting warm again at around 8:30 when it was time for bed. I gave him tylenol and a bedtime snack and he was out like a light. I have a feeling we'll be letting him sleep in our bed tonight. I hate the mystery fever. It makes me worry like crazy.

So tomorrow is supposed to be a playdate with Shara and little Kylie but if Evan is sick obviously we don't want to infect Kylie. We were also supposed to go have lunch with Alex but he changed his mind when the office decided to all go to BW3 and watch basketball. poo. I guess I'll be spending my day hanging out with a sick kid. My mom will be here tomorrow afternoon so at least I have that to look forward to.

And my house is clean, so I won't have that hanging over my head tomorrow either.

Nothing all that interesting

happy Monday of the Daylight Savings Time Mondays. I like DST in the spring. Bring on the lighter evenings! Driving to work in the dark does suck though.

T minus 4 school days till spring break. woo hoo! We're going to San Antonio next weekend for a wedding. PRAY that Evan is good in the car. I'm very much looking forward to this trip, though.

So Saturday we tried to go to a birthday party for one of Evan's classmates only to find out that it was Sunday. I felt like a tool. So Sunday we went. It was nice - a small, eclectic group of people. The group had an Austin-y vibe to it. I miss Austin.

I got my car back today. yay! For those who may read this and have no clue - in the span of 4 days Alex managed to wreck both of our cars. The rear-ending of my car was not his fault, though. No major damage in either case, and now both of our vehicles are sporting new bumpers. It's all the rage, didn't you know?

I"m tired and going to bed now. Goodnight!

quickie

It's pouring rain today. Alex is taking today and tomorrow off, so it still feels like a weekend to me. Evan is on his mat, playing. He's been less fussy lately (knock on wood!!!). Today he actually grabbed a toy and held on to it for a minute. My little genius. Ok, I'm starving...

33 week update

We had a 4-D ultrasound last week, but our little turd had his arms and legs both in front of his face. So we tried again this week. Evan is still in the same position. Breech, head on my upper right, butt on my lower left, legs straight up over his head. No facial viewing for us! Our last chance will be at 36 weeks when the doctor checks his position again.

We got a couple of pictures, but they look the same as last week. I'll share on my website later. Alex flew back from Amarillo this afternoon and made it just in time for the appointment. Too bad we didn't get to see his face. We do know that he currently measures at 4lb 12oz, he has a lot of hair, and he's definitely a he. :D

We got our hospital tour at birthing class last night. Wow that place is NICE. Wood floors and cabinets, a fold out couch for Alex to sleep on, tv, vcr, dvd, high speed internet, and lots of space. It's a one-room thing, you are in the same room from start to finish. (unless there's a c-section obviously). They really do try to make sure you are comfortable!
