Right now, the world is eagerly awaiting the birth of a baby giraffe. April the Giraffe, resident of the Animal Adventure Park, in New York, is just moments away of delivering a 150 pound, 6th foot baby. For about a week now, people have been glued to their computers and smart devices, watching as April moves around, and goes through the beautiful experience of child birth. With each pause, each tail lift, each passing of gas, each poo this one giraffe take, the online-world stops and holds their breaths hoping that the moment has come.

And when did all of this mayhem start? News affiliates caught wind of the park's online streaming of the giraffe and pounced on the change to gain viewer for their sites. Through Facebook, and other media sources, networks have been posting that "Any minute, April will give birth!" We all have bought the bait, and now our computers have tabs streaming this amazing little miracle.

Tell me, how has propaganda been used to capture an audience? Do you think it's okay to broadcast this or do you think this is just a money-making operation?
